Jim & Shawna Morris established the JTRM Foundation in 2015

Mission

As a child, Jim suffered physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his father. Jim found refuge between the white lines of a ball field. Sports saved him.

Jim's passion for sports and the heartfelt need for children who live without the opportunity to play sports led to the creation of the JTRM Foundation.

Vision

Jim & Shawna have a heart for children and their first project was a huge success having partnered with James Avery Craftman Inc., MLB's Texas Rangers, NASCAR, Thrivent Financial, BSN Sports, and many more. The couple's vision is to support communities whose children struggle to or are unable to participate in sports by providing equipment, sports clinics, and offering the opportunity to belong to a team. Team sports teach more than just competition, done well they offer lessons in teamwork and trust and can foster strong self-worth.
